House Rules.
- Respect The Privacy and personal space of fellow artists.
- No smoking or vaping anywhere in the building. Do not prop doors open to step outside for smoking or vaping.
- Use of Exhibition Space is free to all studio holders but Any and all events held in The Biscuit Tin studios must be authorised, please contact. Studios@thebiscuitfactory.com
- Clean up after yourselves. You are responsible for the disposal of YOUR RUBBISH.
- The Carpark situated in the Tyne Moulds and Machinery yard is off limits during the close of business hours Mon-Fri 7PM-7AM SAT + SUN.
- No sleeping Overnight.
- Do not pour turpentine, white spirits, paints or other chemicals down the drains. You are responsible for disposing of all hazardous materials properly.
- Always close the building doors behind you. All studio holders must work to keep the building secure at all times.
- The studios are not open to the public for visitation. Artists may welcome visitors for studio visits so long as they are not disruptive to other artists at work.
- Respect the privacy and personal space of fellow members; no unsolicited critiques.
- Use headphones to listen to music.
- Please leave all public areas, Kitchens, Toilets etc how you found them!
- All studios have access to wifi, if you have further requirements please contact Studios@thebiscuitfactory.com. Any DIY routers plugged into network require prior authorisation non compliance WILL result in termination of lease.
- Turn all electrical appliances off or unplug them before you leave.
- In case you find anything damaged and /or broken, or if something breaks while you are in the studio, please notify immediately. Studios@thebiscuitfactory.com
- Make sure all taps are turned off.
- Any use of illicit substances on the premises WILL result in termination of leases, we are also obligated to contact the relevant authorities in regards to any criminal acts.
- A studio holder is accountable for anything that may occur in their studio, regardless of whether they are present at the time. If you share the space with anyone, make sure any relevant person is aware of all the rules.
